💰 How far does your money go?
A bowl of wonton noodles from a local cha chaan teng costs around £6. Three BBQ pork buns at a Sham Shui Po bakery: about £3. Hong Kong is not the cheapest city in Asia, but the quality-to-price ratio on food is outstanding. A full dim sum breakfast for two at a neighbourhood teahouse runs about £15. The same meal at a dim sum restaurant in London: £40 minimum.
☀️ The weather
November to February is peak season for a reason. Humidity drops, the skies clear, and temperatures settle between 17 and 22°C. September and October are warmer (27–30°C) but wetter, with the tail end of typhoon season to navigate. March is mild and breezy, sitting around 18–22°C as temperatures begin to climb.

Victoria Peak — Ride the Peak Tram to the summit and watch the city unfold below. Go at dusk when the skyline lights up.
Tian Tan Buddha, Lantau Island — Take the Ngong Ping 360 cable car across to the world's largest outdoor seated Buddha. Half a day, and worth every minute.
Dim sum at a neighbourhood teahouse — Head to Jordan or Mong Kok and sit down for a proper trolley dim sum. Breakfast in Hong Kong at its most local.
Symphony of Lights harbour cruise — Every night at 8pm, Victoria Harbour lights up in a synchronised show across both shores. Seeing it from the water is non-negotiable.
